Ben Tibbetts Studio      Home    Services    Archive    Students    About    Contact    Now    Store    Subscribe Night Music Episode 4: "Baby Mine" Episode 3: "Jesus Loves Me" Episode 2: "Westminster Chimes" Episode 1: "Inside Out" Night Music is a series of solo piano improvisations taking familiar themes and spinning them into musical fantasies. The first was improvised on a melody from the PIXAR movie "Inside Out". The second took material from the Westminster Chimes, a melody used by some clocks to mark each quarter hour. The third used as its inspiration the Christian children's hymn "Jesus Loves Me", and steered it in a dark musical direction. And the fourth took the song "Baby Mine" from the Disney movie "Dumbo" and combined that with a song from another Disney cartoon, "A Cowboy Needs A Horse". Night Music was a creative experiment.
