When I discovered in middle school that I could use the Bryce software to make 3D animations and Windows Movie Maker to edit the videos from my camera, I fell in love with it. I filmed whatever I felt like, more days than not, everywhere. I animated random 3D shapes and landscapes, I held my camera at bizarre angles, etc.
Some of those experiments bore fruit. You can see elsewhere on this site a couple of videos that are (somewhat) watchable, like Throwback, To Fly A Kite, and Brother Angel. You can also view the photography and digital art from that time. But most of these experiments were--and I cannot stress this enough--strange. They were weirdly edited bits of weirdly shot footage in which weird things happened, and animated fragments of who-knows-what.
And that's fine. I feel like that's a great place to start when you're learning a new medium. It's fun to mess around. Who cares if it's good?
This page collects many of those videos from about 2003-2007.
